About OIS JVLR MUN
OIS JVLR MUN is one of Mumbai's finest MUN Conferences, currently in it's 6th edition. OIS JVLR hosted two online international conferences in 2020 and 2021, followed by an intra-school conference in 2022 and then our first phyical conference in April 2023, which made history as Mumbai's first ever MUN conference organised exclusively by Middle School students, for Middle School students. Following this, OIS JVLR hosted a whole school conference in October 2023 and then our second intra-school conference in April 2024. OIS JVLR MUN 2024, held last November was another step forwrad in this journey, as the largest conference ever hosted across both OIS campuses. As at each of these conferences, OIS JVLR MUN 2025 promises to be an event for the brightest young minds across Mumbai to engage in relentless debate, discussion, collaboration and critical thinking, embracing their roles as global citizens to find solutions to the pressing global issues of our time.
About OIS JVLR
OIS is a school of nearly 2,700 students across two state-of-the art campuses located in the thriving city of Mumbai. Each campus is designed to deliver an innovative educational experience for every child. JVLR is the newer of the two campuses, opening its doors in 2017. Currently the campus is home to 1,400+ students and 200+ teachers. OIS JVLR prepares globally-minded students for the world of tomorrow. Although we may not know exactly what that world might look like, we know our students will need learning experiences rooted in skills and conceptual understanding. Therefore, we engage students in critical thinking, creative problem solving, and we design experiences that challenge them to apply their learnings from the classroom to real-world scenarios. Students are prepared for the unexpected to be successful problem-solvers who make our world a better place.

Letter From The Secretary General
Dear Delegates, Executive Board Members, Parents and Faculty,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome you to OIS JVLR MUN 2025. As Secretary General, it is both an honour and a privilege to lead this year’s edition of a conference that has, over the years, grown to embody the values of diplomacy, collaboration, and global awareness that Model United Nations stands for.
MUN has been an integral part of my life since Grade 6, a journey that has evolved into years of debate, leadership, and community building. Through various conferences across national and international circuits, from serving as a delegate to directing and ultimately leading multiple editions of OIS JVLR MUN, I have come to realise that the true essence of MUN extends far beyond awards or accolades. It lies in the exchange of ideas, in the ability to listen and challenge, and in the courage to defend one’s convictions while respecting others.
When I first helped establish the first physical MUN conference at OIS JVLR years ago, we were driven by a shared belief that young voices deserve a global platform. What began as a small, student-led initiative has since transformed into the full-scale, high-impact conference you are part of today. OIS JVLR MUN’s growth mirrors the collective effort of hundreds of students who have believed in its vision, to create a space where diplomacy meets dialogue, and our passion meets a purpose.
This year’s edition of OIS JVLR MUN is built on that same foundation. We aim to preserve the academic rigour that defines quality debate, while continuing to make the conference a holistic experience, one that challenges intellect, builds empathy, and nurtures leadership. In an increasingly polarised world, the ability to communicate across divides, to think critically, and to collaborate meaningfully has never been more vital. These are the skills that MUN cultivates, and it is my hope that every participant leaves this conference not only as a better delegate, but as a more thoughtful global citizen.
Having led OIS JVLR MUN through multiple editions, I have seen this community evolve, each year bringing fresh perspectives, new challenges, and renewed passion. OIS JVLR MUN 2025 represents that journey. It is a reflection of years of dedication, collaboration, and an unwavering belief in what young minds can achieve when given the chance to lead.
To every delegate reading this, approach your committees with curiosity, confidence, and compassion. Push yourself to think differently, to engage sincerely, and to remember that diplomacy is not about dominating discussion, but about driving it forward.
